PROCEDURE OF CONTROL OVER SEAMAN’S WORK  
ON BOARD THE VESSEL  

Purpose:
Systematization of the process of control over seamen’s work.

Sphere of application:
Limited Liability Company “Elena Shipping Agency”, users of services

References:

Authorities and responsibility:
Director General – general responsibility, Personnel Inspector – procedure execution.

Procedure:
1. Work on board the vessel

1.1 Master of the vessel makes Confidential Performance Report (CPR) for each seaman working on board his vessel at least once a quarter if there are no other Client’s requirements. One copy of it is to be sent to Limited Liability Company “Elena Shipping Agency” by mail.

1.2 The last CPR should be sent to the Company’s address within 5 days after decommissioning of the seaman from the vessel with the note about possibility of future employment of the seaman. If the Client wants to employ the seaman at the higher position he must specify it in the CPR.

1.3 Personnel Inspector informs the seaman about his future work perspectives and in case of negative work estimation and refusal in the future work passes his file to the archives.

2. Decommissioning from the vessel

2.1 The Client gives the Company list of seamen’s names to be decommissioned as well as date and port of decommissioning. The Client arranges in full repatriation of seamen up to Moscow or Saint-Petersburg and submits schedule of flights of the crew at least two days before take-off.

2.2 Personnel Inspector through the agent arranges meeting of seamen in Moscow or Saint-Petersburg, room in the hotel if necessary and their further flight up to ______.

2.3 Upon arrival to Russia seaman shall inform Personnel Inspector of his arrival and place of location. Secretary places copy of the seaman’s personal file from “on board” to “reserve” file.

2.4 After receipt of the last CPR Personnel Inspector makes note in the seaman’s personal file of his future employment or to pass his personal file to the archives in case of refusal of future employment.
